The life raft range

Rafts are Survival Products and Winslow units, serviced on a three-year interval. Rated capacity is the number the regulations count; overload is the number the raft will carry in an emergency. Full life raft rental details →

Typical missions

When operators rent instead of buy

Bahamas & Caribbean trips

Overwater legs out of South Florida where the aircraft does not normally carry a raft. Rent for the trip, return when you are back.

Your raft is in for recertification

Keep the aircraft legal and flying while your own raft or vests are away for inspection or recertification. Rent for the exact gap.

Ferry flights and deliveries

Transatlantic and Pacific ferry legs, one-way deliveries and repositioning flights that need equipment for a single crossing.

Charter overflow and AOG

A last-minute trip, a bigger passenger count than usual, or equipment found out of date on the pre-flight. Same-day dispatch exists for this.

Extra passengers or infants

Top up the vests already on board for a full cabin, or add infant vests (up to 35 lb) for a family trip.

Yacht and vessel voyages

Much of the inventory is equally at home on the water. Send us the vessel and voyage details and we will confirm what fits.

Inspection & recertification

We handle the round trip to the OEM

Rafts and vests have to go back to the manufacturer on schedule. We collect your equipment, forward it to the OEM for inspection and recertification, and bring it back to the aircraft when it is done. Certification comes straight from the OEM, so there is nothing second-hand about the paperwork. How the recertification service works →

  1. 1

    We collect it

Pick-up from your hangar or FBO anywhere in South Florida, or a prepaid inbound shipment from elsewhere. Rental cover for the gap is available in the same call.

  2. 2

    The OEM recertifies it

Your equipment goes to the manufacturer or its authorized service center. We manage the paperwork, the tracking and the chasing, and keep you posted on turn time.

  3. 3

    We bring it back

Delivered to the hangar or FBO, or shipped to wherever the aircraft is by then. The OEM certificates and tags arrive with it, ready for the logbook.

How it works

From inquiry to wheels-up in three steps

You give us the mission. We handle equipment selection, certification and logistics, so the only thing your crew has to do is load it.

  1. 1

    Tell us the mission

Aircraft type, passenger count, route and dates. Call the operations line or use the quote form. If you are not sure what the regulations require, say so and we will work it out with you.

  2. 2

We build and document the package

Rafts, vests and beacons are matched to your operation, inspected, packed and tagged. Certification paperwork for Part 91, 121, 135 or international requirements goes in the box.

  3. 3

It ships. You fly. It comes back.

Same-day dispatch to the FBO, hangar or location of your choice. When the trip is done, return it to the FBO or ship it back overnight to Sky-N-Sea International Inc. Get the name of the person at the FBO who receives it — we verify the return with them and close your rental. Extensions are an email or text away.

Why Sky-N-Sea

Why operators keep our number on file

Sky-N-Sea International has supplied survival equipment to corporate flight departments, charter operators and private aviators since 2001. What keeps crews coming back is simple: we dispatch fast, the paperwork is right, and someone picks up the phone.

Speed of dispatch

Planned operations and time-critical AOG requests get the same priority. Flight schedules do not wait, so neither do we.

Documentation that passes

Every rental ships with current inspection tags and certification paperwork for Part 91, 121, 135 and international operations. No chasing us for a certificate the morning of departure.

Equipment you can trust

Maintenance & certification

Maintained to OEM specification, documented to the letter

Rented survival equipment is only worth having if it works and if the paperwork holds up. Here is how we handle both.

Inspection

All survival equipment is inspected and certified to OEM specification and the applicable regulatory requirements before dispatch.

Full documentation

Each rental ships with current inspection tags, certification and compliance documentation for FAA Part 91, 121, 135 and international operations.

Leading manufacturers only

We stock Winslow, Survival Products, EAM Worldwide and other established names. Budget alternatives have no place in this inventory.

Service commitment

From first enquiry through equipment return, one team stays with your file. Questions go to someone who knows your operation, not a queue.

Common questions

Questions we hear before every booking

How quickly can equipment ship?

Orders confirmed during the working day are normally dispatched the same day. For AOG and time-critical departures, call the operations line directly rather than using the form. We can arrange overnight and counter-to-counter delivery depending on your location and departure time.

What is the minimum rental period?

Two days. That window lets us inspect, pack and document the equipment properly before it goes out. Rentals extend by the day, week or month, and fleet operators can arrange standing terms.

What paperwork comes with the equipment?

Every shipment includes current inspection tags and certification documentation appropriate to your operation, whether that is Part 91, 121, 135 or an international requirement. If your route or inspector calls for something specific, tell us when you book and we will include it.

How do I know which raft size I need?

Capacity is driven by the number of people on board and the rules that apply to your operation, and rated capacity is not the same as overload capacity. Send us the aircraft type, passenger count and route and we will tell you what fits, rather than making you work it out first.

Can I rent while my own raft is away for recertification?

Yes, and it is one of the most common reasons operators call. Tell us when your equipment goes out for inspection or recertification and we will cover the gap so the aircraft stays legal and flying. Rentals extend if the shop runs late.

Can you arrange inspection and recertification of my own equipment?

Yes. We collect rafts and vests from your hangar or FBO, forward them to the OEM or its authorized service center, and deliver them back to the aircraft when recertification is complete, wherever it is by then. All certification comes directly from the OEM. If you need cover while it is away, we rent you equipment for the gap.

Where do you deliver?

Everything ships from West Palm Beach. Hand delivery to FBOs and hangars from Vero Beach and Okeechobee down through Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade, and overnight courier to the rest of the United States. Equipment can be waiting at the FBO desk when you arrive and returned to the same desk when you get back.

How is rental priced?

By the day, with weekly and monthly rates for longer trips. The two-day minimum applies. Send the equipment, dates and delivery point and we will quote a single all-in figure.

Do you rent for marine use as well as aviation?

Our inventory is certified for aviation, and a good deal of it is equally suited to yacht and vessel use. Send us the vessel, voyage and crew count and we will confirm what we can support.

What happens if the equipment is used or damaged?

If the equipment is deployed in an actual emergency or by mistake, you will be billed the full replacement cost of the equipment. Ordinary handling wear is expected. Terms covering loss, damage and late return are set out in the rental agreement, which we send with your quote.
